Now here’s a dose of springtime glam to swoon over. Filled with tulips, peonies, soft pastels and dashes of rich, elegant gold, the southern California dream team of Christopher TODD StudiosExpressionary Events, and Ooh La La Studios collaborated to produce this ‘French luxury-meets-springtime bliss’ photoshoot.  These stunning photos speak for themselves, so go ahead and indulge in all of the glamorous eye candy, and read about their design inspiration down below!

The bride wore a strapless stunner by Allure from Bridal Elegance, and looked utterly gorgeous in hair and makeup by Rock Me Up.  With ‘love’ written in rose petals down an aisle flanked by tulips, the setting spelled romance and modern refinery.

This photoshoot has made our fondness for tulips even sweeter and, of course, lavish formal luxury always has a place in our book!  Read below for more details on the design inspiration.

From the Team: The idea and inspiration came from the designers’ love of France in the springtime and the rarity of formal elegance in modern day. We combined modern elements such as white and black furniture to create a more direct and up to date feeling while producing a look that was soft and romantic.  Our palette revolved around pink and neutral pastels with accents of gold and turquoise. The wardrobe was carefully selected to complement the details of the lush floral, rosette and ribbon appliques.

The floral design was imbued with opulence. For the ceremony, a bed of rose petals lined the bottom of the Victoria sofa while a baroque style chandelier covered in hydrangeas hung above. Raw and modern elements were brought in with exposed-potted roses and tulips. To complete the look, the ceremony décor was illuminated with soft pink up lighting.

A lush centerpiece of pink hydrangeas and tulips lined the center of the reception table and was surrounded by delicate desserts and cakes on gold and blush linen. Clear gold beaded chargers held white china with a turquoise rim. White furniture and turquoise up lighting modernized the space. To create a dramatic effect, we hung a chandelier drenched in hydrangeas and tulips directly above the center of the table.
